Security Guard Training
- 8-Hour Pre-Assessment ($50)
This single-day 8-hour general introductory course is required by the NYS DCJS for all licensed security guard trainees. A certificate of completion will be rewarded upon successful completion of the course.
- 8-Hour Annual in Service ($50)
This single-day, 8-hour refresher course is required by the NYS DCJS and must be completed by licensed NYS security guards each year. This course is used to outline any changes made in the security industry and update or refresh current security professionals on established procedures. This course must be completed annually as part of the requirements for security guard license renewals.
- 16-Hour on the Job Training ($100)
This two-day, 16-hour course is required by the NYS DCJS and must be taken with 90 days of initial employment as a security guard. This course explores, in greater detail, the responsibilities of being a licensed security guard and outlines various working requirements associated with the job.
First Aid Training
- 8-Hour American Heart Association First Aid, CPR with AED ($100)
This course includes the procedures for CPR and choking, heart attacks, strokes, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) introduction, as well as topics such as bleeding, shock, fainting, poisoning, epilepsy, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions, burn accidents, heat and cold emergencies, head and neck injuries, and musculoskeletal injuries. This National Certification is good for 2 years.
